FAQ

Why did  you choose 'Skeinydipping' for your name?

I am playful and spontaneous, and in private have always loved to whisk my clothes off and feel the water against my skin. I also love to feel wool in my hands. I love words and a joyful laugh.. and Skeinydipping began!

I don't see any blankets available in your Shop. How do I purchase one?

My artisan blankets find new homes very quickly. Pop your name on the list below so you will be notified when the next one becomes available to purchase.

Where do you ship to?

DOMESTIC AUSTRALIAN ORDERS

Orders will be posted on the next working day after payment. Free Express Shipping OR Express Shipping with Insurance. Please take care to choose your preferred shipping option.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

I ship my blankets Internationally, but due to COVID-19 some delays and restrictions may apply in your country. Please contact me to see if I am able to post to where you live.

Customs fees are the responsibility of the customer. Skeinydipping does not pay custom fees or any other fees by your home country’s postal or delivery service. I will correctly label your parcel with a customs form that displays the amount of your order and its items. I will not alter this form; as this is illegal. I suggest that you purchase insurance for International orders, as lost orders are not refundable nor replaceable. There are two shipping options for International Shipping; one WITHOUT insurance and one WITH insurance. Please be careful to check the one which you prefer.

Can you weave a blanket for me to suit my colour scheme?

No. As an artist my expression through my weaving is from my own experiences. If you are interested in one of my blankets, pop your name below and I will let you know when my next blankets are available for viewing and purchase.

Can I return my blanket or wrap?

I have never had anyone who has not been overjoyed with their blanket. I am not a machine, and there will be evidence that my own hands have made your blanket. Treasure that. If however there is a reason you think there may be a problem with your item, please contact me; otherwise all sales are final and no refunds are given.

How do I care for my blanket or wrap?

Your blanket has been woven using pure wool, alpaca or mohair; and has been made to last for generations. It has been made to be used, but needs to be treated respectfully. Just wipe any spills using a damp cloth or spot rinse; otherwise gentle hand wash in tepid water using a neutral PH wool wash or clear hair shampoo. Rinse in the same gentle manner. Do not agitate. NO MACHINES. Gently lift from the water, squeeze and roll in towel then lay flat to dry for the day out of direct sunlight.
